Biography

Hello there

I am Shafayat, currently working as a Lecturer at North South University. I am also the current Faculty Sponsor of NSU ACM Student Chapter, the first ACM recognized and affiliated Student Chapter in Bangladesh. I previously worked with Ericsson Canada on a research focused on Security Metrics for 5G/NFV environment. I completed my Bachelor's from North South University with a degree in Computer Science with distinction and completed my Master in Computer Science (MCS) from Carleton University (Go Ravens!). My research interests are Computer Networks, Data Communications, Computer/Cloud Security. My current researches include analyzing security metrics and 5G Communications.

Performed collaborative research in the fields of 5G Communication and Security Metrics, designing an improved security metric for 5G, performed extensive state-of-the-art review of the security metrics domain to help in identification of security metrics applicability in the context of 5G. Deployed key cloud infrastructures based on OpenStack, testing various vulnerability scanners and all-in-one node deployments using DevStack. Designed a novel simulator tool for network analysis and 5G simulations.
